I am attracted to objects and environments based on formal, historical, and sentimental references. My process combines manipulated digital photography with traditional painting and drawing techniques to alter scale, color, and perspective of an image, with the intention of sharing the moments of inspiration and expressive interpretation. By projecting or combining altered or enhanced imagery with a variety of media such as pastels, oils, or encaustic I am able to acquire a varied, tactile surface that visually and viscerally references locations and objects which I’ve placed sentimental value upon.
