The Barragan series is inspired by the “transcendental” architecture of Luis Barragan who deliberately used color, light, and form to create “aesthetic emotions”. The color combinations bring serenity and sensuality to the present. These paintings are about slowing down and communicating in the language of color filled with complexity and contradictions. Like music, color is a language that draws disparate reactions. Staying with them may lead to interesting conversations with oneself and others.
