My video installations are constructed narratives that live inside of environments such as imaginary gardens, fictional museums or futuristic living rooms.
The current project “Collateral Damage” is based on data, extensive research and is a call to the action through experiential and immersive environments that combine science and art, to create under-the-water experience within the gallery space. The post-apocalyptic, plastic-fantastic-futuristic suite with giant zip tie waves, AR, VR, and 3D printed corals serves as signifier of unintended destruction that we cause. The spectators are invited to interact and investigate site-specific habitat saturated with the polarities: e.g. destruction-restoration, death- life, fragile-strong.
My art seeks to open dialogue between the past and present, as we are looking into the possible future.
