I am an interdisciplinary artist who has been producing large mixed-media/photographic work committed to examining the challenges facing the contemporary world in relation to environmental consciousness.
All of the recent works from the Newly Seeded series (2015) are realized as large scale dye infused metal prints with no frames that can be easily hung and displayed.
Each piece is an amalgam of images that are scanned, altered and recombined to create a rich layering of sources. Biological and urban objects are fused with mark making, photo sources, and digital media to generate a poetic language where systems of generation and communication are linked to form a new language.
I am searching for metaphors of roots and seeds and the systems of conveyance that link plants, bodies and cities in a common network of connectivity.
