Natasha Kohli

Our emotions are influenced, shaded and transformed by what we see. My work explores the existence (or lack thereof) of harmony and balance and is a theme present throughout much of my work.

I primarily work in acrylics, across multiple mediums such as canvas, plexiglass and wood.  I strive to create a bold and minimal aesthetic to examine the interrelationships between lines, colors, and shapes to evoke intuitive reactions in the viewer.

A straight line, sharp edge, or strong color can create the impression of perfection or a sense of uncertainty.  My paintings tap into the energy of the viewer to arouse new or buried emotions and aim to create moments of introspection for the viewer.
