I paint solely from my imagination, and that can be inspired by a phrase that pops into my head, a thought that occurs to me, an image that I suddenly see before me. Or by events going on around me, political, environmental, emotional...
I work in acrylics, sometimes using mixed media – mesh, string, cheesecloth, and often using paint skins in a very unique way. I embrace mistakes and have never once found that they didn’t make the piece better.
My titles are not incidental. For me, they are almost as important at the pieces themselves. I hope you like both!
